• Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce has accused Worldcoin and parent company Tools for Humanity of violating data protection regulations in the country. Worldcoin has been collecting biometric information in its onboarding process across the country using its Orb device to capture iris information. If found guilty, Worldcoin could face economic sanctions or permanent closure in Colombia. Other Latin American countries, including Ecuador and Argentina, have also investigated Worldcoin's activities.
